FEATURED ARTIST: REINHARDT HOLLSTEIN
Burien Arts is pleased to announce a new program in partnership with the Highline Heritage Museum: In the Artist’s Studio.
In the Artist’s Studio is presenting a series of online classes featuring local artists.
The classes have been videoed by Burien Arts and produced by the Highline Heritage Museum via a YouTube link during the current pandemic conditions. Once inside gatherings are permitted again, we hope to hold classes live at the Museum, 819 SW 152nd Street, Burien, WA.
Our January/February artist will be Reinhardt Hollstein, hopefully inside at the Museum. His preferred medium is acrylics, but he has also worked in pencil, charcoal, pastels, and watercolors.
Reinhardt’s most recent works are what he calls “electronic touch audible paintings.” His paintings of iconic musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, and Bob Marley can be touched to play a 30-second music clip of their music. Please see a video on YouTube.
Reinhardt has loved to paint and draw since childhood and is self-taught.
He works as a Controls Analyst with The Lighting Group, Seattle, a firm that designs and installs complex lighting systems for large commercial installations.
Born in Kansas, Reinhardt now lives in Auburn.
