What: Paintings by Julie Blakemore

When: August 4-September 29, 2017

Where: Burien Library & City Hall Building, 3rd floor, 400 SW 152nd Street, Burien

CHILDREN’S ART WORKSHOP

What: Hands-on art workshop for children aged 6-12 with Oscar Sanchez Mendoza, a Seattle-based artist whose projects include the Aztec Woman mural on the SODO bus corridor, created with South Park students. He has worked as a teaching artist at Pratt Arts Center and Coyote Central, Seattle.

When: Thursday, August 31 from 10:00 AM-noon

Where: Burien Public Library, 400 SW 152nd Street, Burien 98166

ARTS-A-GLOW FACE PAINTING BOOTH

What: Free face painting at the annual Arts-a-Glow Lantern Festival & Procession

When: Sept. 9, 2017, 5:00-10:00 PM

Where: Dottie Harper Park, 421 SW 146th Street, Burien

Cost: Free

BURIEN JAZZ WALK

What: 21 bands in 5 venues & vintage jazz films, walk freely from venue to venue. Bands include:
