What: Arts & crafts booths in the new arts & crafts section at Strawberry Days. (As you may know, Burien Arts started this festival as an arts festival in 1964. It was then called the Strawberry Shortcake Festival.)

You may leave your booth canopy in place for both days.  Parking for vendors is provided in the Burien Municipal Parking lot near the Post Office, one block away.  Load and unload instructions will be sent later.

When: Father’s Day weekend, June 15-16, 2019

Where: Town Square Plaza & along 152nd Street

Cost: $50 for a 10′ x 10″ space. Go to https://www.discoverburien.org/events-2019/2019/1/3/strawberry-days. Under “Select Booth Type”, choose “Burien Arts Juried Section.”

You may also pay by credit card in person at the Discover Burien office, 427 SW 152nd St., Burien.



What: Open mic for all ages. Anything goes — music, poetry, stories, comedy, instrumental music, theater arts.  Bring your friends!

When:  April 18, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Sign up at 6:00 PM. This event takes place every third Thursday.

Where: Salmon Creek Cafe, 11620 Ambaum Blvd SW, Burien (116th & Ambaum). The Cafe serves delicious food & alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks. See http://www.salmoncreekcafe.com for menu.
