Aug. 2020:  “Art of Love” by Latinx Artists

The beautiful art in this exhibition comes from The Home Visitor Family Calendar/ Calendario familiar de los visitadores del hogar for home visitor support programs to use with Spanish speaking families across the state.

All people should be able to live and love freely without fear. The idea to create a Spanish language calendar to promote healthy relationships came from home visitors who are multi/lingual and multi/cultural Spanish speakers working and living in Latinx communities. Each month of the calendar has an original illustration created by eight different Latinx women artists in Washington State. The illustrations were inspired by the accompanying affirmations.  We believe in the power of art to tell stories and show the impact of love in our communities.

This projected is supported by the Washington Department of Health and the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Sept. 2020:  Amaranta Sandys, Acrylic

Oct. – Dec. 2020: Reinhardt Hollstein, Illuminated Media
