Burien Actors Theatre is one of the few theaters in the United States that fosters original playwriting. A showcase of original works takes place each year here in Burien.

Community Folk Arts Gallery
Community Folk Arts is a local gallery / arts center located at 639 SW 152nd, downtown Burien, featuring original works created by artists in Burien, West Seattle, and Des Moines. The gallery also offers Fair Trade products and art supplies, from paints and brushes to sketchbooks and kits designed for kids. Art classes are offered as well as private art parties for all ages.
